New Car Preparation
Overview
Your showroom is generally the first chance you get to make a good impression to potential customers. Cleaning and preparing new cars for the showroom and maintaining them once in there is an extremely important job.
Our New Car Preparation Course is designed with this in mind. While the course was initially designed with the sole purpose of prepping and maintaining cars for the showroom, it is also very relevant for the preparation of new cars for hand over to the new owners.
Course Content
- Removal of protective wrappings
- Removal of glue residue from wrapping
- Removal of transport wax
- Safe washing of vehicle
- Drying of vehicle
- Waxing of exterior surfaces
- Glass cleaning techniques for interior and exterior
- Vacuuming and dusting of interior surfaces without causing scratches or scuffing finishing touches (tyre dressing, door shuts, floor mats and seat covers)
- Final Quality check
Our Tutor
These courses are delivered by Larry Kehoe, Irelands longest established Car Detailer. Larry has over 20 years experience in the valeting and detailing industry, and is a Certified and Skills Verified Detailer within the International Detailing Association.
He is also fully trained and accredited some of the worlds leading brands, including Carpo, Titan, Labocosmetica and Colourlock.

Training Methods
Learners will be required to pass both a written and practical assessment in order to receive their New Car Preparation Certificate.
Trainee Requirements
This is a single day course and is designed as a precursor for our 3-Step valeting and detailing courses.
